Why to save Energy? Just to save money?
Of Course it is the most obvious and immediate reason, but certainly not the only reason. It’s much more than saving money, both at home and in the business world.
Then why do we do it? What’s the point in it?
Energy isn’t free and much of the electricity that we use is still from the finite sources such as oil and coal that are in limited in nature. So wasting energy is the same as wasting money and also isn’t good for the environment either. It’s true that we can acquire electricity from renewable energy sources such as wind and solar power, but still we depend majorly on the non-renewable resources that are in the risk of diminution. Less energy demand effects less demand for slashing fossil fuels and the more we use, faster these resources get drained.
Saving energy can help to boost human health, prevent habitat destruction, reduce greenhouse gas emissions that contribute to global warming, thus making sure for less carbon footprints. Curtailing energy usage helps to reduce connected environmental problems and their impacts on everyday living and personal well-being.
As part of the big picture, while saving the planet may pull to the socially wise, visible financial benefits may brace more people to save energy. By taking steps to reduce your energy use, you’ll commit to a healthier and happier world. Although your own energy saving improvements may seem inadequate, small steps become great leaps when multiplied by 7.6 billion.
Saving energy isn’t tough-especially once you get used to it…
